The "Strategies for Chinese Cross-Border E-commerce Facing Litigation in the USA" seminar was successfully held by Zhi Heng Law Firm, CAASA and SZCBEA in Shenzhen on 29 October 2024. Borsam IP and Gottesman Legal PLLC were invited to attend.

Borsam IP Founding Partner Steven LIN delivered a presentation titled "A Study on Malicious Litigation Cases Against Cross-Border E-commerce in the USA". He discussed issues related to malicious TRO intellectual property lawsuits faced by cross-border e-commerce companies in the USA, using real cases to illustrate key points. He offered targeted recommendations, including establishing monitoring and alert systems through cooperation between government, associations, and legal institutions, and creating a public fund to support responses to malicious litigation.

The seminar also featured a Salon themed "Should the Legal Community Curb the Trend of Abusive Litigation by Cross-Border 'Rights Holders'?" where experts engaged in in-depth discussions, sharing experiences and strategies for addressing legal challenges. The highlight of the event was the “Voluntary Pledge and Code of Conduct” oath ceremony. Representatives of sellers and attorneys jointly pledged to strictly adhere to relevant laws and regulations, actively resist malicious litigation, and work together to promote the healthy development of the cross-border e-commerce industry and foster a fair market environment.
